OK, so you read in Dwell that prefab houses are cheap and cool. And you’re wondering how customizable they are relative to their cost because you want an inexpensive tricked-out version. But, you spoke with your architect friend and were told that if you customize too much, you’ll end up with a custom (i.e. pricey) home. The two prefab material options for the facades are lapped plywood and corrugated aluminum.
